Putting food at the heart of the curriculum The Soil Association Scotland organised a one-day conference "Putting food at the heart of the curriculum". Walter W Yellowlees The McCarrison Society, Scottish Group, presented to its founding member Walter Walker Yellowlees on the occasion of his 90th birthday a medal, to acknowledge his outstanding contributions to the Nation’s health. The New Zealand Box for Garden Compost A means of making compost is an essential in any garden and by using a New Zealand box, ordinary kitchen waste and weeds from the garden can be converted to compost in about 18 months. Food bills Two food bills are discussed at present in the Scottish Parliament. One bill has been tabled by the government (Peter Peacock), and another bill has been introduced by the SSP (Frances Curran).
